End of the First Round of 21 Day Fix

This marks the end of my 1st round of 21Day Fix!  I stayed true to myself and pushed through these past three weeks.  There were days, I’m not going to lie, that I didn’t want to do any workouts.  I just wanted to chill out and sit on the couch and do nothing.  Obviously, there is still part of me that just wants to be extremely lazy, but I didn’t let that side win.  I got off my butt and did what I had to do.  I’m very proud of myself for overcoming my laziness and sticking with it.

This isn’t the end though, it’s only just the beginning.   In my minds eye there really is no end to this, it is a way of living now.  It has to be for me.  To be healthy and fit I have to make it a point to exercise on a regular basis and to have a healthy diet.  Eventually, things may taper off to working out maybe, maybe, three times a week, nothing more than that though.

Enough of that for now, time for what we’ve really been waiting for we’ve been waiting for, my results.  In the past three weeks I only lost 2 pounds, but I also lost a total of nine inches .  Here are my before and afters:

Not much muscle gain sure, but you can definitely tell the inches I lost, especially in the tum tum area.  And this is only after three weeks, pretty cool right?

For my next round of 21 Day Fix it’ll be the same thing as the past three weeks with one change, I’ll be increasing my weights.  For the past three weeks my heavy weights were 8lbs and my lights were 5lbs.  In this next round of 21 Day Fix my heavy weights will be 10lbs and my lights will be 8lbs.  Believe me, I wish I could do more and one day I’m sure I will, but…baby steps right, baby steps.

I know in my last post I mentioned that I would not be posting again until I got my site looking and feeling the way I want it.  I still need to do that, but I don’t want to just stop posting until it gets there.  Instead, I will not be posting every day, but every week with an overview of what the week was like for me.  This way I can still do my posts and dedicate some time to make the improvements I want to my site.  Bear in mind that the site may not look the same from day to day while I’m discovering the right look and feel, but the content will be there all the same.   So just keep that in mind or just come back at a later time when I get everything setup right.

I will also mention that the weekly posts will probably become the norm even after I get the site setup the way I want.  Unfortunately, I will not be posting what I’ve had to eat everyday.  Instead it will be more of a summary of what I have eaten.  If I cheat on a meal I will be sure to post it, besides it’s all about being true right?  We’ll see how things progress, but I’m excited for the changes.

On a final note, since I won’t be posting for a few days, I wanted to mention that the wife and I are going to Breckenridge this weekend for some much needed time together and finally fulfill our “Kodak Moment” (ask me later and I’ll tell you all about that).  So, what does this mean?  It means that this week will be a short workout week.  Basically my last day to workout this week will be Thursday because we are leaving early Friday morning to head to the mountain slopes.  When I get back I know I will have a post about it for all to know.  And just to put it out there, I will definitely have some “non-21 Day Fix approved” meals (can anyone say Crepes).  Until then, look forward to the changes to the site and, as always, stay true and push through.
